Frequently asked questions

How do I know what size I should get?

The fabric for the MODE 1 mask has a 4-way stretch and everyone’s face is different so these are general guidelines. The measurements are from the middle of one ear, across the bridge of your nose, to the middle of the other ear: XS: 10” (children 3 years and up) S: 11” (children 5 years and up) M: 12” (young adult/women/smaller faced men) L: 14” (adults/men with facial hair) Some prefer to wear masks tighter around the face in an effort to “block out as much air as possible” but this will also tug more on your ears. If wearing for a longer period of time, you might want to size up. It is recommended that masks be washed after each wear so any minor stretching of size will bounce back to the original measurement.

How should I wash these masks?

The MODE 01 masks are extremely durable and tear resistant. We recommend that you wash the masks in cold water and hang or lay flat to dry (do not wring). The nylon/spandex material is moisture-wicking, anti-microbial, and quick drying. Avoid fabric softener as this coats the technical fabric and inhibits its wicking capabilites. Masks should be washed before the first use and after every use.
